Federal election 2022
In the lead up to the 2022 Federal election, National Council has released an election statement with key priorities for the incoming government.
To help bring these priorities to the attention of aspiring politicians, we have prepared short briefing notes to assist members of the NSW Vinnies Social Justice Network meet with candidates and seek commitments to enhance social justice over the parliamentary term ahead. Electorate-level briefing notes on income support and poverty, and on housing and homelessness, are below.
In addition, a NSW briefing note on people seeking asylum is available.
If you plan to meet your candidates, please let the Social Justice Team know via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We can provide support, and where possible will connect you with other local advocates in your electorate. We have also prepared a two-page guide to support you to take action.
